Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the largest of the four Disney Parks at the Walt Disney World Resort, and it boasts gorgeous and lush scenery with amazing attractions and experiences. The Oasis
When Guests first enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom, they have to pass through the Oasis to get to Discovery Island and the main hub of the Disney Park. Most Guests tend to just hurry through this area to get whatever experience they want to enjoy first, leaving the area perpetually quiet. The Oasis is home to animal habitats, a winding river, plenty of shade, and benches where Guests can sit and enjoy nature all around them. Whether entering or exiting, The Oasis is the perfect spot to enjoy some quiet in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Discovery Island Trails
The Tree of Life is the icon of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and can be seen from nearly every corner of the Disney Park, but a series of trails offer Guests the chance to get very close. The Discovery Island Trails run all around the Tree of Life and can be accessed from several pathways near Creature Comforts, Pizzafari, and Eight Spoon Café. These walkways are always quiet and offer Guests the chance to wander past animal habitats and get so close to the Tree of Life that they can really appreciate the artistry that went into each animal carving. There are also benches along the way which are great spots to sit and enjoy a beverage or snack.
Flame Tree Barbecue Patio
Also found on Discovery Island is Flame Tree Barbecue, a quick service location that features a menu of regional barbecue favorites for lunch and dinner. Just behind the main ordering area is a massive patio that features several different levels of brightly covered seating areas. Guests who wander as far down the patio as possible are greeted with sweeping views of the Discovery River with Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain in the distance. These patios can sometimes be busy during peak dining hours, but Guests who wander there in the mornings are treated to some of the best views of Disney’s Animal Kingdom in quiet.

Tamu Tamu Refreshments
The village of Harambe is a beautifully themed area of the Disney Park that features Kilimanjaro Safaris as well as several dining and shopping options. Tamu Tamu Refreshments is a quick service ordering counter found just inside the village that serves up a limited menu of food and beverage items throughout each day. Just behind the ordering counter is a small open-air patio with comfortable seating options. While just steps from the main path of Harambe, this quiet corner offers Guests the chance to relax while soaking in the ambiance of the village.

Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
Also found in Harambe is the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail which is located right next to the exit of Kilimanjaro Safaris. This self-guided walking trail is generally quiet, but there are also lots of corners and benches that offer the chance to sit and relax in peace along the way. Showcasing the Pangani Forest, the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail is home to Grevy’s zebras, meerkats, and hippos and culminates with a massive habitat of sprawling green hills and waterfalls where gorillas can be found all around.
Maharajah Jungle Trek
Like the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail the Maharajah Jungle Trek over in the Asia area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom gives Guests the opportunity to explore the Royal Anandapur Forest. Found near the exit of Kali River Rapids, this self-guided walking trail features stunning palace ruins where tigers now live, an aviary with over fifty species of birds, and habitats of water buffalo, gibbons, Komodo dragon, and more. With stunning detail and several quiet corners to relax, the Maharajah Jungle Trek can make Guests feel as though they are miles away from the busy pathways of Asia nearby.
Asia Amphitheater
Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is a very popular attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and thus the pathways around it are typically busy throughout each day. Guests who find themselves near the attraction but want quiet can walk directly across the pathway to a large open-air amphitheater with plenty of seating. Once home to the Rivers of Light show, this amphitheater showcases the beauty of Discovery River with the Tree of Life in the distance. While there is no shade, the massive size of the amphitheater makes it a great place to Guests to spread out and relax while soaking in some quiet.
Restaurantosaurus Deck
DinoLand U.S.A. is a generally loud corner of Disney’s Animal Kingdom thanks to the Boneyard and Chester & Hester’s Din-O-Rama, but there is a quiet spot where Guests can relax as well. Restaurantosaurus is a quick service restaurant in the area that is open for lunch and dinner with many seating areas inside as well as several outdoor options. Since Restaurantosaurus isn’t open until lunch, Guests can have a seat on the outdoor deck in the mornings to enjoy a quiet and shady spot. It’s a great location for Guests who are waiting for others in their party to enjoy Dinosaur!
