The Walt Disney World Resort transports Guests to a world of fun and make believe, but it is still located in Central Florida and Guests must deal with the weather that comes with that location. Depending on the time of year, the Walt Disney World Resort can be extremely hot and humid and very, very wet. Throughout the summer months, afternoon thunderstorms are the norm, but what happens when the forecast is all rain? Well, thankfully there is plenty to do in each Disney Park to make the most of a rainy day and the Magic Kingdom is no exception. Let’s check out some of the best things to do in the Magic Kingdom when the forecast is all rain.
Indoor Attractions
One of the best ways to avoid the rain in the Magic Kingdom is by enjoying indoor attractions that include everything from classic dark rides to comedy shows and more. Fantasyland is a great area to enjoy in the rain as there is a high concentration of attractions that feature queues that are also shielded from the rain. In one area alone Guests can enjoy Mickey’s PhilharMagic, “it’s a small world,” Peter Pan’s Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid. While they will still have to brave the rain to walk between these attractions, they are all so close together that it shouldn’t be too bad even on the rainiest of days.
